what is a pre-order?

a pre-order means you’re reserving an item before it’s officially released or ready to ship. at little river co., we design and produce limited runs of our garments, so pre-orders give you the chance to secure your piece ahead of time, especially for collaborations that are high in demand.

pre-orders help us reduce waste, manage sizing accurately, and make sure the right amount of pieces are created. they also ensure that you won’t miss out on our more limited drops, which often sell out quickly

how does it work?

  1. place your order – reserve your piece during the pre-order window.
  2. collection period (≈ 2 weeks) – we gather all sizes and quantities. production begins after this window closes.
  3. production (≈ 8–9 weeks) – your garment is made to order, quality-checked, and prepared for fulfillment.
  4. shipping (2–5 days) – once the collection arrives at our warehouse, we dispatch your order.

how long will i have to wait?

the wait time varies slightly depending on the product, but here’s the general timeline:

  • collection period: ~2 weeks

  • shipping: ~2–5 business days

in total, most pre-orders take around 10–11 weeks from the time you place your order.

because every collection is made-to-order, there can sometimes be shifts due to production, logistics, complexity of the garment or number of pre-orders. if that happens, we’ll email you directly with any updates. we also keep our community updated on instagram at @littleriver.co.

how does payment work?

all pre-orders are paid in full at checkout. by pre-paying, you lock in the price of your item — meaning you’ll always get the lowest price available at the time you place your order.

because we don’t cancel batches or products, every order is guaranteed. this is why we take full payment upfront, ensuring your piece is reserved and produced specifically for you.

returns and exchanges

you have 14 days to request a return. to be eligible, your item must be in the same condition you received it: unworn or unused, with tags attached, and in its original packaging. you’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

to start a return, contact us at sales@littleriver.company. if your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label along with instructions on how and where to send your package. items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

damages and issues

please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if your item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item. we’ll work quickly to make it right.

refunds

once we receive your return, we’ll let you know if it’s been approved and your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. please keep in mind that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.

what's your US shipping policy?

we ship across the united states using a variety of carriers, including usps, fedex, and ups. once your item is in our warehouse after production, our processing time is 1–2 business days before your order ships out.

if you place an order that includes both a pre-order item and an in-stock item, the in-stock item will always ship first. you won’t be charged any extra shipping fees for the split delivery.

what if the eta shifts?

our timeline is ~10–11 weeks from pre-order to delivery, but small shifts can happen due to production or logistics. if that happens, we’ll email you directly and share updates on instagram at @littleriver.co.

can i combine a pre-order with an in-stock order?

yes. if you order a pre-order item along with an in-stock item, the in-stock item will always ship first. you won’t be charged for extra shipping.

what if i change my mind while waiting? can i cancel my order?

if you decide you don’t want your order anymore, just contact us before it ships — you can cancel or change your order with no fees.

how do i change size/address?

email us at sales@littleriver.company any time before your order ships. for size changes, please note availability is limited by batch, so we’ll confirm if your requested size is in stock.

what if the batch doesn’t fill?

every order is guaranteed. we don’t cancel batches or products, so if you pre-order, your item will be produced.
